A body butter is a moisturizer that softens, hydrates and rejuvenates skin. It is somewhat similar to lotion, but is thicker, with yogurt-like texture. Body butters usually uses Cocoa butter, Shea butter, Coconut Oil or other vegetable-based oils as a base.

Like lotion, a cream is a blend of oil and water, but with a higher oil concentration (a 50-50 ratio of water and oil). Creams are thicker in consistency than lotions and provide a barrier that keeps skin ultra-hydrated. Body cream is usually sold in a jar container or tub because of its thickness.

A lotion bar is a solid block of lotion, used for moisturizing skin as part of your personal care routine. Lotion bars are typically made with natural ingredients that stay solid at room temperature, but melt a little from body heat, making it easy to apply the lotion bar as needed and store in a reusable container
